Bolivia’s President to attend G77+China Summit in Cuba

Bolivian President Luis Arce is preparing his participation in the Summit of heads of State and Government of the Group of 77+China, which will take place in Havana, an official source reported.

The summit is scheduled for September 15-16 under the theme “Current Development Challenges: Role of Science, Technology and Innovation,” according to the Deputy Ministry of Communication.

Arce will also attend the 78th Session of the United Nations which will coincide with the High Level Week, and will consist of eight major events: the General Debate, the Summit on the Sustainable Development Goals, the Financing for Development, the debate on the climate issue, prevention against pandemics, the Ministerial Summit of the Future, Universal Health Coverage and the Fight against Tuberculosis.

According to the source, the heads of State and Government will meet in New York during the High Level Week, on September 18-19, 2023, to review the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), among other topics.
