JONATHAN D. STEELE

Graveside services were held Monday, April 12, 2010, at 4:30 p.m. at Wroten Family Cemetery in Smithdale for Jonathan D. “Jon” Steele, 41, of Slaughter, Louisiana. Rev. Dennis Terry and Rev. Bill Bolton officiated.
Pallbearers were Tom Bolton, Ronnie Barrilleaux, Bruce Bolton, Brock Bunch, Brady Lockhart and Robert Digirolamo.
Honorary pallbearer was Ray Hano.
Mr. Steele passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010, in an accident in Arnaudville, Louisiana.
Mr. Steele was the son of Yvonne Steele Hano and the late Julius Steele.

EDWARD JOSEPH (TANK) BONAVENTURE II

Religious services were held Sunday, April 11, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty for Edward Joseph (Tank) Bonaventure II, 24, of Liberty. Rev. Brad Delaughter officiated. Burial was in Higgins Family Cemetery.
Mr. Bonaventure passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at his residence.
Born September 20, 1985, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mr. Bonaventure was the son of Palma Bonita Higgins Bonaventure and the late Gary Wayne Bonaventure.
Mr. Bonaventure was the Jailer for the Amite County Sheriff’s Office in Liberty, MS.

BETTY H. DENSON

Memorial services were held Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at Centreville Methodist Church for Betty H. Denson, 83, of Centreville. Rev. Kevin Trantham officiated. Burial was Saturday, April 10, 2010, in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Booneville, with Newman Funeral Home of Centreville in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Denson passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville.
Born April 15, 1926, Mrs. Denson was the daughter of A.B. and Hallie K. Harmon, both deceased.

THOMAS E. DENSON

Memorial services were held Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at Centreville Methodist Church for Thomas E. Denson, 82, of Centreville. Rev. Kevin Trantham officiated. Mr. Denson passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville.
Born April 15, 1927, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mr. Denson was the son of the late Thomas A. and Annie B. Denson.

HERBERT BRABHAM

Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, April 9, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Albany, Louisiana for Herbert “Sonny” Lafayette Brabham, 71, of Holden, Louisiana. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Geisler Funeral Home of Albany, Louisiana in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brabham passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at his residence in Holden.
Born August 29, 1938, in Liberty, Mr. Brabham was the son of the late Julius and Bertha Hodges Brabham.

WILLIAM J. HURST

Graveside services were held Friday, April 9, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Hurst Family Cemetery in St. Helena Parish, Louisiana for William Joseph Hurst, 66, a resident of Pascagoula, MS.
Mr. Hurst passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Singing Rivers Hospital.
Born May 1, 1943, in Clinton, Louisiana, Mr. Hurst was the son of the late Eugene Hunter Hurst II and Jimmie Lou Cain Hurst.
Mr. Hurst was a retired pharmacist, and was known to his family and friends as Billy Joe and Bones.

JULIUS D. MURRAY SR.

Private graveside services were held Friday, April 2, 2010, in Hollywood Cemetery for Julius Dugger “J.D.” Murray, Sr., 80, of McComb. Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jim Griffith, Christopher C. McCallum, Sam Giordano and Bob Jones.
Mr. Murray passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at McComb Nursing and Rehab.
Born September 20, 1926, in Wilkinson County, Mr. Murray was the son of S.F. and Elma Cavin Murray, both deceased.

IRA JAMES BANKS

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 3, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Centreville for Ira James Banks, 69, of Gloster. Rev. Floyd Matthews officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home of Gloster.
Mr. Banks passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville.
Born October 18, 1940, in Mississippi, Mr. Banks was the son of Emerson Banks Sr. and Annie Laura Banks, both deceased.

MARY A. GRANTHAM

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster for Mary “Susie” Ashley Grantham, 60, of Crosby. Bro. Bernard Waites officiated. Burial was in Homer Hill Cemetery near Crosby.
Mrs. Grantham passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.
Born June 11, 1949, in Natchez, Mrs. Grantham was the daughter of the late Buell L. Wisner and Allie Felter Wisner of Crosby.
Mrs. Grantham was a registered nurse.

JAMES LEWIS HALL (SKILLET)

Funeral services were held Friday, April 2, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenoaks Memorial Funeral Home for James Lewis Hall (Skillet), 86.
Mr. Hall passed away Monday, March 29, 2010, after suffering several stokes.
Born March 14, 1924, in Crystal Springs, Mr. Hall was the son of Julius Rex Hall and Mable Aletha Rice Hall, both deceased.
Mr. Hall proudly served our country in the U.S. Army #726 Railroad Battalion in the Assam Valley in India during World War II.
