BEVERLY GORDON

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Nathaniel Baptist Church in Centreville for Beverly Ann Gordon, 51, of Baton Rouge. Rev. Robert Scott Jr. officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Newman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Cedric Dunn, Gregory VanNorman, Terrance Gordon, Josh Gordon, Michael Mitchell and Jerome Dunn.
Honorary pallbearers were Claude Dunn, James Milligan, Reccko Collins, Charles Collins, Charles Gordon, Willie Nelson and Reginald Mitchell.
Mrs. Gordon passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, in Centreville.

CHARLES EDWARDS

Funeral services were held Friday, May 7, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville for Charles Ernest Edwards, 78, of Meadville.
Mr. Edwards passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Born August 4, 1931, in Amite County, Mr. Edwards was the son of the late W.B. and Nettie Nunnery Edwards.
Mr. Edwards retired from International Paper Co. in Natchez and was a member of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

JAMES JOHNSON

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Clay Hill Church of God near Liberty for James “Malcome”Johnson, 67, longtime resident of Liberty. Pastor Carl Taylor officiated. Burial was in Clay Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Meadville Convalescent Home in Meadville.
Mr. Johnson was born in Liberty June 11, 1942.

JULIUS BENTON WALL

Funeral services were held Monday, May 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Red Bluff Baptist Church for Julius Benton Wall, 64, of Gillsburg. Rev. Starrett Cleveland and Bro. Joe Day officiated. Burial was in the Wall Family Cemetery in Gillsburg, with Jones Family Funeral Service of McComb in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Joby Wall, Michael Wall, Alan Easley, Dale Easley, Pat Sanders and Mike Felker.
Honorary pallbearers were Curtis Loper and Al Ashmore.
Mr. Wall passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010, after a lengthy illness.

GENEVA W. DAVIS

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 1, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb for Geneva Whittington Davis, 87, of McComb. Rev. Dean Pearce officiated. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery.
Ms Davis passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.
Born May 25, 1922, in Liberty, Ms Davis was the daughter of Hiram and Katie Lorimore Whittington, both deceased.
Ms Davis was a member of LifePointe Community Church of the Nazarene.
Ms Davis retired from F.W. Woolworth in McComb after 18 years of service.

CHARLES MOAK, SR.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Busy Corner for Charles Bruce Moak, Sr., 65, of Liberty and former resident of Alpine, Texas for seven years. Rev. T.W. Terrell and Rev. Stacy McCullough officiated. Burial was in Steele Family Cemetery.
Mr. Moak passed away Saturday, May 3, 2010, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, following a brief illness.
Born August 30, 1944, in Gloster, Mr. Moak was the son of the late Virgil Lee Moak and Maxine Arnold Moak Brooks.

LEDELL WHITE

Funeral services were held Monday, May 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Amite River Baptist Association building in Liberty for Ledell White, 64, of Liberty. Rev. Derrick Todd Williams officiated. Burial was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. White passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, following a sudden illness.
Born December 17, 1945, in Coles, Mr. White was the son of Jimmie and Ollie Mae Owens White, both deceased.

MARY GILMORE

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 1, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Centreville for Mary Gilmore, 67, of Norwood, Louisiana. Rev. Floyd L. Matthews officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Craft Funeral Home of McComb in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Gilmore passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at her residence, after a lengthy illness.
Born July 19, 1942, in Centreville, Ms. Gilmore was the daughter of the late Joe and Beulah Arbuthnot Gilmore.
Ms. Gilmore wa a homemaker and member of Holly Grove Baptist Church.

EVA NELL KIRKLAND BRISTER

Religious services were held Thursday, April 29, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Springs Church of God of Prophecy for Eva Nell Kirkland Brister, 68, of Liberty. Rev. Danny Cook officiated. Burial was in Plainview Cemetery in Liberty at the Liberty Church of God of Prophecy, with Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brister passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Liberty Community Living Center.
Born April 6, 1942, in Amite County, Mrs. Brister was the daughter of Richard Moyese Kirkland and Mamie Lilly Kirkland, both deceased.

SHANE M. ROSHTO

Memorial services were held Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Liberty for Shane Michael Roshto, 22, of Liberty. Rev. Dusty Rhodes officiated.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Johnson, his rig manager, Ron Arnold, co-worker, and friends James Hayes, Kyle Marshall, Dale Floyd and Bobby Hollingsworth.
Mr. Roshto passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in an offshore oil rig explosion.
Born November 23, 1987, in Baton Rouge, Mr. Roshto was the son of Denise and Bobby Arnold of Meadville and Ronnie and Debbie Roshto of Walker, Louisiana.
