JAMES MCKNIGHT SR.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 2, 2010, at New Bethel Jesus Name Church in Enon for James L. McKnight Sr, 84, of Jayess. Rev. Gary Don Robinson officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Jones Family Funeral Services of McComb.
Mr. McKnight passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Billdora Senior Care Center in Tylertown.
Born February 26, 1926, in the East Fork Community, Mr. McKnight was the son of Hose B. and Inez Quinn McKnight, both deceased.

BERTHA LUMPKIN

Religious services were held Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty for Bertha Lee Roberts Lumpkin, 95, lifetime resident of Amite County. Rev. Ernest Whittington and Rev. Diane Woodall officiated. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Andy Lumpkin, Bill Lumpkin, Brian Anders, Brannon Anders, Jeremy Rape and Brad Reid.
Ms Lumpkin passed away Friday, July 30, 2010, at Liberty Community Living Center.
Born March 18, 1915, in Amite County, Ms Lumpkin was the daughter of Andrew and Blanche Wilkinson Roberts, both deceased.

RUBY REYNOLDS

Funeral services were held Monday, July 26, 2010, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster at 11:00 a.m. for Ruby “Tot” Reynolds, 88. Graveside services followed in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, ten miles north of Liberty on Highway 567,where Mrs. Reynolds will rest alongside her beloved son, Ronney, and four generations of family members.
Pallbearers were Mrs. Reynolds’ nephews.
Mrs. Reynolds passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

ANNER J. ABRAHAM

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Springhill Free Will Baptist Church in Smithdale for Anner J. Abraham, 95, of McComb. Elder Kenneth Haynes Jr. officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Ms Abraham passed away Thursday, July 22, 1010, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.
Born February 7, 1915, in Amite County, Ms Abraham was the daughter of Neelie and Maggie Marsalis Jackson, both deceased.
Ms Abraham was a homemaker and a member of Springhill Free Will Baptist Church, where she was president of the mother board.

KAREN COTTON

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Gloster for Karen Cotton, 40, of Gloster. Rev. Robert Veal Jr. offiicated. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Anderson Funeral Home of Gloster in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Cotton passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at her residence.
Born November 26, 1969, Ms. Cotton was the daughter of Lillie Cotton and the late Warren Cotton.
In addition to her father, Ms. Cotton was preceded in death by both grandparents.

JEWEL BROCK PRAY

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 18, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb for Jewel Brock Pray, 87, of the Friendship Community. Rev. LaVerne Summerlin, Rev. Troy Bankston and Rev. Joe Jackson officiated. Burial was in Reeves Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brandon Pray, Tyler Pray, Joe McCulley, Al McCulley and Bob Hodges.
Honorary pallbearers were Mr. Pray’s nephews and great-nephews.
Mr. Pray passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

DANIEL GLEN HUGHEY

Funeral services were held Monday, July 19, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty for Daniel Glen Hughey, 27, of Liberty. Services were conducted by Special Family Friend Faye Morgan. Burial was in Nunnery Cemetery near Liberty.
Mr. Hughey passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, in Rural Amite County near Liberty in an automotive accident.
Born March 7, 1983, in McComb, Mr. Hughey was the son of David and Marisa Myer Hughey.
Mr. Hughey was a cabinet maker.

CAMILLE CRUM HONEA

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m . at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb for Camille Crum Honea, 87,of Magnolia. Rev. Byron Wilkinson officiated. Burial was in Honea Cemetery.
Ms Honea passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010, at her residence.
Born February 7, 1923, in Gloster, Ms Honea was the daughter of Hollis and Dorothy Longmire Crum, both deceased.
Ms Honea was a longtime active member of Glading Baptist Church and a retired dairy farmer. She loved nature and was a member of the Amite County Homemakers Club and Quilting Guild.

CHARLES RICHARD SHULTZ

Charles Richard Shultz, 88, of Smithdale, died Saturday, July 17, 2010, at his residence. He was born December 30, 1921 in Duquesne, PA. He was the son of Wesley G. and Margaret Elizabeth Treece Shultz. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant with 20 plus years service having retired in July 1964. At the time of his retirement he held the highest enlisted rank and also had a Reserve rank of Major.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Duquesne and attended Grace Way Church of the Nazarene in Summit.

ZELDA MAE HIGGINS

Funeral services were held Friday, July 16, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster for Zelda Mae Higgins, 67, of Gloster. Brother Carl McClain officiated. Burial was in Higgins Cemetery, near Liberty.
Mrs. Higgins passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.
Born May 10, 1943, in Amite County, Mrs. Higgins was the daughter of Burton and Lorena Berryhill Huff, both deceased.
Mrs. Higgins was a homemaker and faithful member of First Assembly of God in Gloster.
