NANCY JONES

Funeral service were held Saturday, July 3, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Liberty for Nancy Lynn Dixon Jones, 57, of Liberty. Rev. Walt Gaston, Rev. Dusty Rhodes and Rev. Kevin Smith officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Jones Family Funeral Services of McComb in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jones passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Liberty Community Living Center, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born April 2, 1953, in Liberty, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of Harold and Beatrice Dixon, both deceased.
Mrs. Jones graduated from Amite School Center and was employed as office manager of Liberty Community Living Center.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by two sisters, Claudia Faye Dixon and Gaynell Dixon Chaney; and a stepdaughter, Lisa Renee Jones.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Lenny Jones of Liberty; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tara and Stewart LeBlanc of Kentwood, Louisiana, and Dana and Kyle Haygood of Liberty; a son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Sarah Jones of Hammond, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Jake Haygood and Caitlynn Jones of Liberty, and Charlie and Sawyer LeBlanc of Kentwood; a fifth grandchild expected in December; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Vivian Dixon of Osyka, Kenneth and Margaret Dixon of Liberty and Tom and Carolyn Dixon of Houston, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jackie and Randy Braswell of Magnolia, Betty Dixon of Liberty, and Kathy and Earlo Duck of Petal; two brothers-in-law, Preston Jones and wife Gwen, and Mike Jones, all of Liberty; a sister-in-law, Ann Whittington and husband Mike of Gloster; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family at Liberty Community Living Center.
