GLADYS SKIPPER

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 10, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Liberty for Gladys Skipper, 68, of Liberty. Rev. Roosevelt Nunnery officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Anderson Funeral Home of Gloster in charge of arrangements.
Ms Skipper passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Jefferson Hospice Center in Jefferson, Louisiana.
Ms Skipper was born May 5, 1942.
Ms Skipper was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis James Skipper; one son, Alvin Knox; and one sister, Lucille Knox.
Ms Skipper is survived by three sons, Minister James Knox of Waggaman, Louisiana, Louis Knox of McComb and Lee Knox of Liberty; three daughters, Angela Green of Magnolia, Rachel Jordan of McComb and Sandral Richardson of Waggaman; twenty grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sisters, Louisa Knox, Pauline Knox, Yvonne Morgan, Mildred Knox and Norma Lee Weatherspoon, all of Liberty, and Winnie White and Vera Latchers, both of Baytown, Texas; two brothers, Willie Knox and Alfred Knox of Liberty; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
